Realistic World Realistic World
Real World is a map script designed to realistically recreate Earth biomes and starting plots in order to be more engaging for players.
Key points:
- This is an edited Pangea style map script with the ability to have inland seas and sometimes split into continents.
- You'll find larger areas of forest, plains, hills, tectonic mountains and less sporadic terrain fragments mixed in.
- Now there is Equatorial Jungle.
- Rivers should be less 'all over the place'.
- No ice. Personally, I don't think it adds anything to the game other than frustration. The map will be shifted north to accommodate snow/tundra latitudes.
- New Massive and Gigantic map sizes are standard options.
- Starting plot positions have been adjusted to primary, secondary and barbarian.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
