Radiant Light National Won More Buildings
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before we begin, you guys must know that this mod is only possible thanks to Magil's Wondrous Wonders mod (special thanks to the link below). I don’t think I would have thought of these national wonders myself. After watching his mod multiple times, and playing a lot of games with it, I feel completely convinced that I think it might even be the official version. Let's praise the kindness of the creator for allowing me to make my own models of these national wonders based on the concepts of his mod, which always lets you know about generous decisions in modding the world. That being said, if this mod gives you balance issues, bugs, conflicts or any issues in the future, it won't be Magil's fault, just mine.
Why do I feel the need to cover up these national wonders? First of all, I won't pretend to make it better, but it better explains why National Wonders might appear in another person's mind. Here are the main differences that come to mind:
- To be honest, in some games I felt a little lost in these countless wonders. Magil's mod works great, but I'd still like to create a condensed/light alternative version of only the 8 wonders of the country, so I can still have them in the game, but more in a more discreet way.
- Each of them is affected by a zone (so, if you follow me, there will be only 8 zones / 15 in total) and they collect several similar bonus effects that you can already find in Magil's mod + a few new ones I brought back from my knowledge and some tweaks.
- They are not available at the same time/era (so always in the same order), allowing you to be prepared when one of them comes.
- My Light National Wonders will provide you with powerful overall bonuses... but to make things a little more complicated, they can only be built with some risk: each one has a very high production cost, and high maintenance costs as well. Summary: See a nice bonus though! You have to get it and work hard to catch it!
In all of this, this is how I myself conceive of the wonders of the nation! Give them a try and I hope you'll love them!
(Would never do this for the Amenity zone, as comfort is almost too powerful already in this game.)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
