About this mod Machine translation

Production Queue Production Queue

Add queuing to your city's production management.

If you are having trouble loading a saved game, be aware that it is almost certainly due to loading another mod that modifies the same files as the production queue. For additional information, see the sections at the bottom of this page.

For more information about updates, see the Updates tab above.

Disclaimer: This is an early version. It has been tested fairly thoroughly, but it is impossible to say whether it covers all possible scenarios. If you encounter problems, please leave a comment here or open an issue in the project's GitHub repository. Thank you for your patience and interest.

illustrate

When you first load a new game with the mod enabled, the production queue panel will appear to the left of the city production menu by default. Click the small tab in the upper left corner to collapse the panel. Using the controls listed in the section below, you can add/remove and manipulate production items in each city's queue.

All types of production projects are eligible to be added to the queue. This includes regions and wonders! When adding a zone or wonder to the queue, you'll select the chart you normally would. However, the actual placement of the drawing does not occur until the item is at the top position of the queue. At this point it will automatically place the item on the chart selected when adding it to the queue. At any time before it reaches the top of the queue, you are free to remove it from the queue and reposition it. But remember, once it reaches the top of the queue, it will be placed and is permanent (just like what happens when placing a zone or wonder in the base game).

Areas and buildings that are prerequisites for other production items (technical and civic) that have already been researched will be unlocked next. For example, if you research the required technology, you can line up a business center and then immediately line up a market. Continuing with this same example, a market added below a commercial center will not be able to be moved earlier. In other words, the desired queue order will be maintained. If you try to reorder items in an impossible way, it will move as far as it can before stopping. If you try to delete a project that other projects below it depend on, the deletion will cascade and delete all projects in the same dependency chain. In our previous example, this meant that deleting the business center would also cause the marketplace to be removed.

An obsolete unit in the city queue will automatically switch to the unit that is replacing it. If the unit replacing a now obsolete unit is not eligible for production, the unit will be removed from the queue. For example: your queue warriors are forced to become obsolete when they learn gunpowder technology, but the units that replace them are swordsmen who require iron. If you don't have Iron, the Warrior will be removed from the queue instead of being upgraded to the Swordsman. …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
