Our Sovereign Nation is a planned series of mods that provide each civilization with aesthetically unique versions of various aspects of the game. Our Sovereign Nations: Quotes offers each civilization a unique set of technology and citizen offers.

These quotes are not dubs because I don't have enough money to pay Shaun Bean to record 2300+ quotes, but they are all unique quotes so you don't get his voice and every line burns to your skull. Every quote is by someone from that civilization, or someone from that civilization, or someone from that civilization.

Will this work with the Aztec, Polish, Australian, Persian and Macedonian DLC?

Yes, it does.

Will this be useful if I don't have these DLCs?

Yes, this mod is specifically programmed so that you can have as few civilizations as possible and it will still work.

What are all the quotes?

There are many, 2300+, and you can find them in our Sovereign Nations Google Spreadsheet file.

Does this apply to mods that add new civilizations?

Depends, the mod author will need to create the support themselves, but this is easily done.

I've created a new civilization, how do I add support so they have their own unique offers?

This is intentionally designed to be as simple as possible.

Go into the Our Sovereign Nation: Quotes mod folder and go into the localization folder. (our sovereign nation quotes\text\en_US)

There is a file titled "BASE - Copy from this for new civs.xml", copy this file and change the name to "OSN_(your civilization name)_Quotes.xml".

Open this file. Go to the Find and Replace tool in your text editor and replace all instances of "(insert Civ name here)" with the name of the civilization in all caps.

Now you just need to go through each text string and add the required quotes. "Quote" is where you quote, and "cite" refers to the person you quote. To know what technology or civic you want to add a quote to, check the name of the tag, it will be something like "LOC_CIVILIZATION_(INSERT Civ name here)_TECH_WRITING_QUOTE", it is a technology because of "TECH", it is writing technology because of "writing".

Save, add the new files to your mod (in your mods folder and .modinfo file), and the good for you!

How do I install it?

Click the "Download" button above this post. You will then download the .rar file, open it and place the folder ("Our Sovereign Nation Quotes") into your Mods folder, which should look like this; "C:\Users\(your PC username)\Documents\My Games\Civilization VI by Sid Meier\Mods". Then you just go to other content in the game and click on the little checkbox next to the list to enable it.

This sentence is so terrible, can you change it?

There are a lot of quotes that are very poor and this is largely due to not being able to find anything better, so if you find a quote that you don't like and you know of a better quote, then you can suggest changing it in the spreadsheet document linked above.
