New Continent Names Better Names New Continent Names
There are too many default continent names in Civilization VI that sound too similar. Like my New Continent Names mod, it replaces all of them.
This mod was originally named "New Continent Names (Reloadable)" but since reloading is no longer an issue I have renamed it.
Using the list of entries in CitizenNames_Text.xml that I think are the "loudest" are:
Agacia
Bahiti
Cantara
Hero
Electra
Florida
Garanda
Hypatia
Inessa
Troll
Kashiya
Leipoxis
Magdalena
nevada
Ortensia
Lune
pretty face
Radcliffe
Savatari
Tira
Utkarsh
virginia
Wegstein
Xavier
Yan Lin
Zinaida
If you'd rather type your own name, try the Civ VI Continents Names editor.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
