Middle-Earth Map Mod Middle-Earth Map Mod
This mod adds Middle-earth as a playable map.
---Notice---
This mod requires Amatheria's Resourceful mod.
All civilizations are playable, but the fixed starting position only applies to Aldolin's ring civilization.
This mode requires Kantorr to play your custom map.
To play, navigate to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods\Middle Earth Map Mod. Copy MEStandard1.2.CIV6MAP. Navigate to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods\Play Your Custom Map\Map. Delete the example CustomMap' file and rename MEStandard1.2.CIV6MAP to 'CustomMap'. This is the filename used by Kantorr's Play Your Custom Maps mod, which is why the sample has the same name. Start Civilization 6, select a supported civilization, change Map Size to Standard, and Map Type to Custom Map.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
