Add new map icon
Enhanced list interface
Fix bugs and styles
new icon
Many new icons have been added to the map tack editor:
Regions, Customization and Civilization Unique Regions
Improvements, including unique and bonus improvements to civilization abilities, city states, and governors
Unit actions such as harvesting, restoration, archeology and espionage
Scouting markers for barbarian outposts and tribal villages
great men of all types, and
A golden tile to commemorate the Miracle site
All new icons come with tooltips, areas and improved gameplay effects.
Scrollable map pin list
The list dynamically resizes to display up to 15 map pins, with scrollbars used to manage longer lists. It groups all named locations at the top, then groups all unnamed locations in numerical order.
Bug fixes and resets
Fixed some basic gameplay bugs and styling issues. It can handle large numbers of maps without breaking popup lists or causing performance issues. Unnamed markers are now sorted correctly when there are more than ten. Labels and controls have more consistent alignment and spacing. This mod improves overlapping and stacking icons so closer tacks always look closer and the current player always appears on top in multiplayer games.
compatibility
The Map Tacks mod does not affect saved games, so you can add it to an ongoing game or disable it without breaking your game. It overrides any map pin functionality in other UI models. Map Tacks is compatible with Unique District Icons and uses the district's unique icons.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
