Farther Zoom further zoom
A mod that lets you zoom further to see more of the map and get closer to appreciating the intricate details of the game's gorgeous graphics.
Unlike its predecessors, this mode works with worldviews and strategic views. It also tilts the camera more aggressively in close-ups and less so further away.
The mod only touches one file, Camera.artdef. My version includes a few humanizing comments to describe situations where you would like to tweak things further. See the attached Readme.txt for details, or the complete changes I made if you're more technically convinced.
Note: If you see clipping artifacts around the edges (i.e. yellow hexagonal tiles) when zooming out, try this. I've tried my best to reduce their occurrence compared to other "further zoom out" modes, but can't account for all screen resolutions and graphics settings.
A mod that lets you zoom farther out to see more of the map, and closer in to admire the intricate detail of the game's gorgeous graphics.

See the accompanying Readme.txt for more information, and if you're of a more technical persuasion here are the complete changes I made.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
