Detailed Worlds Detailed world map
Detailed Worlds are my personal tweaks of several world generation utility functions and custom map scripts, adding detail. The main goal of this mod is to make the world more interesting, especially to include a detailed version of the map scripts.
Basic functions
When this mod is activated, the following features apply to all generated maps:
Bigger desert, no more desert tiles per map. While deserts will be roughly the same as the world, they tend to be more cohesive, resulting in a few larger desert areas rather than many scattered desert tracts.
Fixed rainforest placement. No more ugly rainforest tiles at the equator! Rainforest/Jungle layout is now more dependent on the underlying map and will be more frequent in certain areas. Rivers and coastal areas can have large rainforest areas. The total number of rainforest tiles is the same as the default script (and affected by the rainfall option).
Detailed map
In addition to the basic functionality, the detailed version of the map script has the following features:
Tiny pole. 99.9% chance to travel around the world by boat. (low sea level may be more difficult)
Add coastal details. More bays, bays, and islands make each landmass more interesting to explore, settle, and conquer.
New River Generation. Rivers are now affected by the rainfall options in the advanced settings (only when using the "Detailed" map script).
Includes the following custom maps:
Mainland - detailed
Pangea - Detailed
Little Continent - Detailed
Fractal - Detailed
Islands - detailed
Mixed Continents - Detailed
Island Region - Detailed

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
