About this mod Machine translation
Canada Civilization Canadian Civilization
Leader/Toronto Pearson
Civilization Traits/Hardy Community
+2 production and tundra tiles +2 food..
Leadership Traits/Social Projects
+1 economy and +1 wildcard policy slots
Unique Unit/Mounted Police
Canada's unique Calvary ministry. Known as "the one who always gets 'em," this far-reaching unit is able to track down opponents by ignoring costs across all terrain.
Unique architecture/hockey stadium
Uniquely Canadian architecture. Replace sports venues.
Citizens of all backgrounds are passionate about this great game of hockey. Local teams encourage trade within and between communities. The movement inspired the country's farmers and artisans to work harder. Writers, artists and musicians are inspired to create great works. Hockey is considered a second religion.
Cities with hockey arenas receive Culture, Gold, Food, Production and Faith bonuses.

This is the first version of my Canadian civilization model.
In the early stages of the game, civilization and leader bonuses help.
Hockey Arena adds a huge bonus, but it's so late in the game that it gives Canada a much-needed boost in the late-game era. Hockey really started to build this civilization.

Installation instructions
Extract the files into the Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods directory
In order for Art to work properly, unzip the contents of "Canada Icons" to
Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Sid Meier’s CIVILIZATION VI/Base/Assets/UI/Icons and /ArtDefs.
This will replace the current file to fit Canada's icon, so it is always recommended to back up the file.
When I use DeadHerring's Persia mod as a learning tool, I recommend copying the edit lines (I've commented them out) if you have multiple civilization models with artwork.

Known issues:
The loading screen uses Japanese icons because I couldn't accept the Toronto or Canadian icons I added. The stadium appears on the 2D map, but not in 3D.
Leader / Lester B. Pearson
Civilization Trait / Hardy Communities
+2 Production and +2 Food from Tundra tiles..
Leader Trait / Social Programs
+1 Economic and +1 Wildcard Policy Slots
Unique unit / Mountie
Canadian unique Calvary Unit. Renowned to "always get their man", this far-reaching unit is able to track down adversaries by ignoring all terrain costs.
Unique Building / Hockey Arena
A building unique to Canada. Replaces the Stadium Building.
Citizens of all backgrounds become deeply impassioned with the good 'ol hockey game. Local teams encourage commerce in and between communities. The sport galvanizes the nation's farmers and craftsmen to work harder. Writers, artists, and musicians are inspired to produce great works. Hockey is considered a second religion in it's own right.
A city with a Hockey Arena receives bonuses to Culture, Gold, Food, Production, and Faith.

The Hockey Arena adds a massive bonus but it's so late in the game that it gives Canada a needed boost in the later eras. Hockey really starts to build this civ up.

Unzip the files into your Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods directory
In order for Art to work correctly, Unzip the contents of "Canada Icons" into
Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Sid Meier's CIVILIZATION VI/Base/Assets/UI/Icons and /ArtDefs respectively.
This will replace the current files to accommodate Canada's icons, so backing up your files is always recommended.
As I used DeadHerring's Persia mod as a learning tool I'd recommend copying the editted lines (I've commented them) if you have multiple civilization mods with artwork.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
