About this mod Machine translation
African Egyptians African Egyptians
This simple model transfers the ethnicity of the ancient Egyptian civilization from the Mediterranean to Africa, as it is supposed to represent the indigenous pre-Islamic (i.e. African) culture. As of now, unit graphics, unit icons in the game interface, and city graphics have all been changed.
Notes for users using the Poland DLC:
If you enable the Polish DLC along with this mod, it may break the architecture of all civilizations except Egypt. To make my mod compatible with the Polish DLC you must:
- Move the Poland_DLC_Cultures.artdef file from this mod's Artdefs folder to... Steam/SteamApps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/DLC/Poland_Jadwiga/Artdefs folder (in other words, the Artdefs folder that comes with the Poland DLC)
- Rename Poland_DLC_Cultures.artdef to Cultures.artdef to replace the existing Cultures.artdef file in the game.
- This should "patch" the Poland DLC so that my mod can work with it.

NOTE TO USERS WITH POLAND DLC:
If you have the Poland DLC enabled together with this mod, it may screw up the architecture of all civilizations other than Egypt. To make my mod compatible with the Poland DLC, you MUST:
- Move the Poland_DLC_Cultures.artdef file from this mod's Artdefs folders into the...Steam/SteamApps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/DLC/Poland_Jadwiga/Artdefs folder (in other words, the Artdefs folder that came with the Poland DLC)
- Rename Poland_DLC_Cultures.artdef to simply Cultures.artdef, thereby replacing the Cultures.artdef file already in the game.
- This should "patch up" the Poland DLC so that my mod can work alongside it.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
