About this mod Machine translation
This tool reads the .ini files where Borderlands 2 stores its settings, allowing you to easily change more important files.
There aren't many options available right now, as I've only added what I think will be the most useful.
If you want anything else added leave it in the comments and I'll see what I can do.
Texture fade in fix
Enabling this option will fix slow texture flow to objects when opening containers
It may have an impact on the performance of low-end machines
distortion
Distortion is the effect when a bullet hits something or the heat wave from an explosion
Turning it off may help performance in the heat of battle and is hardly a noticeable loss
light of god
The light seen when looking at the sky from a distance
Turning these off can improve performance in outdoor areas
dynamic lightning
High - Dynamic lights and dynamic shadows are both turned on. Best looking, worst performance
Medium - Dynamic shadows are off. Only stationary objects will have shadows, higher performance
Off - No dynamic lightning. Make the game look bland and perform at its peak
Shadow resolution
Controls the smoothness of game shadows. Higher numbers mean smoother shadows and slower performance
There is no noticeable difference after 1024, so unless you like standing around checking shadows, then 1024 should be fine
seconds until the body is removed
The default value is 600
This is very self explanatory. Corpses can pile up quickly, and on low to mid-level systems it can start to lag.
Reducing that number makes them fall faster
comfort
Enabling this option will enable the console. Use the Tilde key (~) to open it in-game. The type key of the command is /
For some reason this doesn't always work. It doesn't work on my game, but it works on a few people I've tested it with.
Install
It’s not really installed, but I’ve had a few people ask me here you go
1.Download.zip
- Unzip .exe and .dll anywhere. Let's put it all together.
- Now you can run the .exe and use it to change anything you want
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
