Lobby Password Display
Client-side helper for Big Walk.
When you land on the enter-password screen while joining a lobby, this mod tries to surface the lobby password if it is available as public lobby metadata (the same bwpl_password attribute that tagged/modded rooms can publish).
What it does
- Watches lobby attribute reads for password keys (bwpl_password and similar).
- When the password prompt appears, attempts to pre-fill the input field.
- Falls back to a simple on-screen label showing Lobby Password:... if the field cannot be located.
Requirements
- BepInEx-BepInExPack_IL2CPP-6.0.755 (or compatible BepInEx 6 IL2CPP pack)
Installation
- Install via r2modman Mod Manager (recommended), or
- Extract the contents so the plugin DLL ends up under BepInEx/plugins.
Important: This package currently ships the C# source (LobbyPasswordDisplay.cs).
You must compile it against BepInEx 6 IL2CPP + the game assemblies (or an interop assembly) to produce the.dll that BepInEx actually loads.
Once you have the DLL, place it in BepInEx/plugins/ (or re-package the zip with the DLL instead of the.cs file).
Notes
- Only works for lobbies that publish their password as a public EOS attribute. Private passwords that are never written to lobby metadata cannot be recovered.
- Does not bypass or skip the vanilla password check. You still confirm through the normal prompt.
- Purely client-side. No network changes.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
