Core
Shared plumbing for the smolMods family. On its own it changes nothing — install a
feature mod alongside it.
What it provides:
- The sMods category in the game's own Settings menu, styled like the vanilla pages.
- A row API the other smolMods plugins register into (arrow rows, On/Off rows and
sliders), including rows that belong in the game's General or Controls pages
rather than on the sMods page.
- The little character figure on the sMods page that previews your colours and eye state
live, and the shared HUD-tint engine used by the colour mods.
Settings are written the moment you change them, so they survive a crash or an
alt-F4 rather than only a clean quit.
Big Walk has no anti-cheat, and these mods don't change how the game plays for anyone
who doesn't have them.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
