Mod for importing custom sounds into maps

About this mod Author’s original text

Beton Jukebox

With this mod you can add additional sounds or music in your map.

How to use it?

Just create Sounds folder, create JSON file and name it whatever you want, then add info into it:

{

"Path": "people_a_people.ogg", // path to the audiofile (in case if you want use subfolders)

"Name": "People A People", // ingame name (please don't use special symbols like $ or)

"Category": "Custom", // Sound category (you can use some default one)

"Subcategory": "Music" // Sound subcategory

},

Mod also supports several sound data in one JSON file (in case if you want to make one file like sounds.json):

[

{

"Path": "people_a_people.ogg",

"Name": "People A People",

"Category": "Custom",

"Subcategory": "Music"

},

{

"Path": "protocol.ogg",

"Name": "Protocol",

"Category": "Custom",

"Subcategory": "Music"

}

]

P.S. Please note that other players should have this mod as well, otherwise they won't be able to listen custom sounds

You can view the example in this map.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
