Vanilla Music Improved
(NOT A REMIX!) Attempts to improve the vanilla game's music using ModAudio features and scripting!
About this mod Author’s original text
Vanilla Music Improved
Mod collab with RockOn!\
Light-weight audio pack that attempts to improve the base game's music using ModAudio's features and some scripting. This pack does not include audio and instead references it locally from the game! I believe with this, all the music in the game's files is being used.
- Package Info: ~63KB (size on disk varies by file system), 8 files, 2 folders.
- All my ModAudio route files and scripts will be made available at Github under CC BY-NC-SA.
- If you need to contact me, you can use the ATLYSS Modding Central Discord server or my thread in there. I prefer pings over DMs, thanks.
Tracks List
Due to the lack of official uploads but an accurate wiki page, I redirect you to:
- Subregions (or Sub-zones):
- Chapel of the Elders = music_whisper
- Crescent Cove = mu_nouCove
- Ammagon's Hut = _mu_tired
- Redwoud = _mu_lethargy
- Sanctum Catacombs (Overworld) = _atlyssSet_catacomb_amb3
- Crescent Grove (Overworld) = _mu_ambCrispr
- Bonus Tracks (zones that were originally mute):
- Crescent Road (Day) = Mu_laid
- Crescent Road (Night) = _mu_discover03
- Luvora Garden (Day) = _mu_sailex
- Luvora Garden (Night) = _mu_discover04
- Gate of the Moon (Day) = _mu_beaver
- Gate of the Moon (Night) = _mu_discover05
- Executioner's Tomb = _mu_hell01
- Night Tracks:
- Effold Terrace (Night) & Tuul Valley (Night) = _mu_discover04
- Tuul Enclave (Night) = _mu_tex01
- Wall of the Stars (Night) = mu_select1
All tracks are looped! Including additional looping for (Outer) Sanctum (Arena), Wall of the Stars, and Slime Diva.\
ModAudio is doing a ghost "\_\_\_default\_\_\_" replacement for this. All zones mentioned (except Tuul Valley, shared with Sanctum Arena) become a valid music replacement.
Credits
- Kiseff: Developer of ATLYSS. All music used in this pack is referenced locally from the game.
- RockOn: Created the icon for this pack, helped with playtesting and feedback.
- Marioalexsan: Developer of ModAudio. Technical help.
- Zera: I directly referenced their LUA script file for subregion music from Zera Atlyss Remix and made my own.
- Miss Monster: My primary motivation for just about everything since joining the ATLYSS community. She's the reason I kept my motivation to work with ModAudio and start learning Lua. Credited for assistance in picking out tracks and feedback. <3
Compatibility
This pack was designed for game version 12026.a3 using ModAudio V4.4.X, and does not locally contain any music.\
If any major changes are made to the vanilla game, this pack is at risk of having incompatibilities.
Subregion music will play when my routes are playing. If another route is playing, then there won't be subregion music unless they added their own.\
Should only be a minor confusion with Ithra's Vanilla Music Pack, which serves a different purpose than mine.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
