AtlyssPoise
Adds a poise stat to Atlyss that gives the ability to resist knockbacks
About this mod Author’s original text
AtlyssPoise
AtlyssPoise is a mod for Atlyss that introduces a poise mechanic, inspired by the Mystic's Prism skill. It rewards tanky, high-defense builds by providing resistance to knockback, improving balance and build variety.
What Does It Do?
- Adds a new Poise stat that scales with the player's Defense.
- While a player has positive Poise, they are immune to knockback effects.
- Poise regenerates when the player is out of combat.
- Poise is automatically displayed on the HUD with a custom bar.
Why Poise?
The Mystic class can resist knockback thanks to Prism skill, but other classes — especially Fighters with heavy armor — have no built-in way to do so. This results in:
- Players often ignoring the Defense stat.
- Lack of build diversity, especially for tank-style characters.
AtlyssPoise encourages more diverse builds by giving high-Defense characters a meaningful new advantage.
Planned Features
- Configurable Poise scaling (via config file or UI)
- Optional visual effects when Poise breaks
- Better UI design
- Balancing
🛠️ Installation
- Download.
- Install using a mod manager like r2modman (recommended) or use BepInEx manually
- Launch the game — poise will be initialized for local player automatically.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
