The Chosen Ones reshapes the opening moments of your journey by granting access to a powerful pool of legendary equipment right at the start of the run. Instead of waiting for chance or progression, players are invited to select from a curated selection of high-tier gear and shape their strategy from the very first step.
The true strength of this mod lies not in raw power, but in freedom. By unlocking legendary options early, players can experiment with unconventional builds, explore new synergies, and fully realize character concepts that might otherwise take an entire run to assemble.
Whether you are testing ideas, refining strategies, or simply embracing a power-fantasy start, The Chosen Ones empowers you to play the way you imagine from the very beginning.
This Across the Obelisk mod is designed for experimentation and players who want to begin their journey already feeling legendary.

How It Works
When a new run starts, the mod triggers a custom loot event that allows the player to pick from a predefined pool of high-tier equipment.
The loot is defined using Obeliskial JSON content files and loaded through the official content pipeline.
Requirements
This mod requires the following dependencies:

- Obeliskial Content
Make sure all dependencies are installed before launching the game.
Installation
Using r2modman (Recommended)
- Open r2modman
- Select Across the Obelisk
- Search for The Chosen Ones
- Install the mod
- Launch the game

Compatibility
- Works with single-player and multiplayer
- Safe to use with most content and balance mods. Just make sure you have the same checksum!
- Does not modify save files

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
