VStormV’s Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Reshade Preset
Greetings from Malaysia! 👋 Now is the MCO 3.0 period. I want to share a simple Reshade quality preset. I hope everyone will stay at home and break the chain of transmission of the new coronavirus! Stay safe everyone! ! 💪
🎨Default Features
This preset is designed to bring more vivid, clearer visuals to Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. It mainly adjusts color saturation, ambient light, clarity and light effects to make the game world look more vivid.
The preset defaults to adjustments based on the Nvidia graphics card's 50% digital vibration setting. The effect may be slightly different on different monitors. You can adjust the color saturation and vividness settings in Reshade according to your personal preferences.
**Note**: This preset may appear a bit dark in some places without a light source.
⚙️ Installation Guide
The new version of Reshade can be a little confusing because there are so many effects to choose from. You can select all effects directly, or download an older version (circa 3.4.1) from here:
🔗 Reshade Repository
After installing the old version, you can run the new version to update.
**Installation steps**:
- **Download Preset**: Extract the preset file to the directory where your `ACOdyssey.exe` is located.
- **Download Reshade**: Download the latest version from the Reshade official website.
- **Installation and Activation**:
- Run the installation tool and follow the prompts.
- Close the installation tool and start the game.
- Press `Home` key or `Shift+F2` (old version) in game.
- Select the `VStormV` preset and you're done! 🎉
**Technical effects used**:
- EyeAdaption.fx
- AmbientLight.fx
- Bloom.fx
- Clarity.fx
- Colourfulness.fx
- Vibrance.fx
**IMPORTANT**: Once setup is complete, don’t forget to turn on Performance Mode!
🖥️ Windows 10 display issues
If you encounter a problem with the screen being too dark on Windows 10, you can adjust the gamma value. Type "color management" into the taskbar search and follow this guide.
🎮 Performance optimization suggestions
In order to obtain a better balance between performance and image quality, it is recommended to set **Volume Cloud** to **Medium**. For other settings, please refer to Digital Foundry’s optimization plan (video link). My settings are slightly different, I used DSR 2x 1080p and turned down anti-aliasing.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
