Invisible Bow and Spear (Forger)
🎯 **Keep your Spartan hero’s back fresher! **
This mod solves a long-standing player wish: to remove the bow, quiver, and arrows from the character's back. Ubisoft has never officially implemented this feature, and this mod provides a permanent solution that can be enabled or disabled at any time.
🛠️ **Required Tools**
- **Forger 2.8 Tools** by **hypermorphic**
- The `.forger2` file of this module: `Clean Back v3`
📖 **Installation and usage guide**
💡 **If you are new to Forger, please be sure to read the User Guide before starting. **
- **Place File**: Place this module file into the **`ForgerPatches`** folder in the game root directory (in the same location as the `ACOdyssey.exe` file).
- **Run Forger**: Open Forger 2.8 and click **`Rescan`** if necessary. New patches will be highlighted in yellow, and updates to existing patches will be highlighted in green.
- **Enable Mod**: Check **`Clean Back`** and wait for the operation to complete (usually very quickly).
- **Close Forger**: **Important! **Be sure to close Forger before launching the game. If you start the game with Forger open, it may cause file corruption, and you will need to restore the game and reinstall Forger.
- **Start Game**: Open the game, equip the Abstergo bow, and play normally.

📝 **Note**
- ✅ Effective for both Kassandra and Alexios.
- ✅ Tested on UPlay version 1.5.4.
- ✅ The bow functions completely normally as a weapon, it just looks like the character is "gesturing in the air".
- ✅ Same with the spear, you can't see it but you can still use it. In a few specific motion-capture cutscenes, the spear briefly appears in its first-stage design, but then reverts to invisibility.
- ⚠️ The quiver internal arrow cluster model files for all bows are **the same**. With this mod enabled, arrow clusters inside other visible quivers will also become invisible (see screenshot).
- ⚠️ Several bows share the same bow and quiver model files, so it is not possible to make one of them invisible individually.
- ✅ Compatible with ReShade.
🔧 **Troubleshooting**
If the mod doesn't work, try the following steps in order:
- Click the **`Reset All Forges`** button in Forger and reapply the mod.
- If that doesn’t work, try **`Reset All Forges`** again. Then **verify game files** via UPlay and repair corrupted files.
- If that still doesn't work, follow the instructions in the "Restoring Game" section of the **Forger 2 User Guide**.
- If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
📜 **Update Log**
- **v3.0** - Added new bows such as Artemis, Eros, Helios, Heracles, Icarus, Odysseus, Pessesh en Gerrehh, Swift Wings, Thracian, Vine, Herald Reflex, etc., and fixed the invisibility problem of heavy bows, improved hunting bows and two recurve bows. The only bow currently not working properly is the Bow of Hades and its Curse of Atlantis variant from the Atlantis DLC.
- **v2.5** - Added Achilles, Great Horn, Herot, Paris and 8 other basic/novice bows.
- *Note: It was not possible to make the heavy bow, two recurve bows (yes, Ubisoft gave two different bows the same name) and the modified hunting bow disappear at the time. *
- **v2.1** - Added Venom/Viper Bow and Strophes Bow.
- **v2** - Added all versions of the Spear of Leonidas (upgraded and non-upgraded) by hypermorphic.
- *Note: In certain cutscenes where Kassandra and Alexios need to use the spear, the spear will still appear, but will be invisible in most cutscenes since they don't use it much. *
- **v1** - Invisibility of the original Abstergo bow, quiver and arrows in the quiver.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
