🛠️ Essential tools
To use this mod, you need the following tools and mods:
- **Forger 2.7 Tools** - Essential tools made by hypermorphic.
- **Alexios Customizer Mod** - Also made by hypermorphic, for customizing characters.
- **This module file** - Contains `HadesCleanSkinv1.forger2` file and `HadesIsuCleanSkin` folder.
⚠️ **IMPORTANT NOTE**: If you are new to Forger, it is highly recommended to read the **Forger User Guide** before starting.
---
📖 Installation and usage guide
- **Place files**: Place the unzipped files (`HadesCleanSkinv1.forger2` and `HadesIsuCleanSkin` folders) into the **`ForgerPatches`** folder in the game directory (in the same location as the `ACOdyssey.exe` file).
- **Run Forger**: Open Forger 2.7 and click the **"Rescan"** button if necessary. New patches will be highlighted in yellow, and updates to existing patches will be highlighted in green.
- **Configure Alexios Customizer**: In the Alexios Customizer module, enable **"Alexios Template Body"** and select **Hades** in **"Template Head Selection"** to play Hades. You can also adjust your body shape, height, hairstyle, hair color, eye color and eyebrows according to your preferences. *(Note: Most skin tone options are not valid for Hades)*
- **Enable skin mod**: Check the **"Hades clean skin w/o Isu lines"** option.
- **Close Forger**: After completing the setup, **be sure to close Forger**. If you launch the game with Forger open, the files may become corrupted and you will have to restore the game and reinstall Forger.
- **Start the game**: Open the game and choose to play as Alexios to experience the new Hades.
**Configuration reference in the picture** (options not mentioned remain unchecked):
- **Head**: Hades
- **Physique**: Robust
- **Height**: Very tall
- **Hairstyle**: Leonidas
- **Hair Color**: Leonidas
- **Eye Color**: Amber

📝 Notes
- ✨ This mod works with hypermorphic's **Alexios Customizer** mod, allowing you to play as Hades.
- 🎭 The mod is also applicable to Hades who appears as an NPC in the second episode of "The Torment of Hades" in the "Fate of Atlantis" DLC.
- ✅ Tested on UPlay version 1.5.4.
- 🖼️ Compatible with ReShade.

🔧 Troubleshooting
If you encounter problems, try the following steps in order:
- Try clicking the **"Reset All Forges"** button in Forger and reapplying the mod.
- If that doesn’t work, try **“Reset All Forges”** again. Then **verify and fix** the game files via UPlay.
- If the problem persists, follow the instructions in the "Restoring Game" section of the **Forger 2 User Guide**.
- If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
---
💡 Possible future updates
The developers are considering adding **less pale skin tones** in the future and, if technically feasible, adding **Isu texture** (which will most likely not glow).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
