Different Color for Kassandra's Hairband (Forger)

✨ **An appearance mod that changes the color of the hairband for Cassandra, the protagonist of "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey"! **Tired of your default hair tie colors? Now you can give her a gold, bronze, purple, pink or light brown headband to give your Spartan hero a more personal touch!

🛠️ Prerequisites

  • **Required Tools**: This mod requires **hypermorphic's Forger 2.7 tools** to work properly.
  • **Mod Files**: After downloading this mod, you will get the `KassandraHairbandColors.forger2` file and the `KassandraHairband` folder.

📖 Installation Guide

If you are new to Forger, it is highly recommended to read the **Forger 2 User Guide** before getting started.

  • **Place files**: Place the extracted files (`KassandraHairbandColors.forger2` and `KassandraHairband` folders) into the `ForgerPatches` folder in the game root directory (in the same location as the `ACOdyssey.exe` file).
  • **Run Forger**: Open Forger 2.7 and click the **"Rescan"** button if necessary. New patches will be highlighted in yellow, and updates to existing patches will be highlighted in green.
  • **Select Color**: Check the color option you want and wait for loading to complete. There are **5 colors** available: gold, bronze, purple, pink and light brown.
  • **Close Forger**: **Important! **After applying the patch, **be sure to close Forger**. Launching the game while Forger is running may result in file corruption, at which time you will need to restore the game and reinstall Forger.
  • **Start the game**: Open the game, choose Cassandra and start your adventure!

⚠️ Notes

  • **Scope of influence**: After enabling this mod, the color of **NPC's shoes, blacksmith shop and eye patch will also be changed**. This is a known knock-on effect.
  • **Compatibility**: Tested on UPlay version 1.5.1. Compatible with ReShade.
  • **Version Support**: This mod **may not run** on pirated versions of the game, and support will not be provided for this.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If the mod doesn't work, try the following steps in order:

  • Click the **"Reset All Forges"** button in Forger and reapply the mod.
  • If it doesn’t work, click **“Reset All Forges”** again. Then, verify game file integrity via UPlay and repair corrupted files.
  • If the problem persists, please refer to the **"Restoring Game"** section in the **Forger 2 User Guide**.
  • If all else fails, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

🙏 Special thanks

This mod would not have been possible without the outstanding contributions of the following community members:

  • **BenderBendingRodriguez3000**: Made the original mod and allowed me to convert it from Resorep format to Forger format.
  • **skylightglare**: A .dds file modification expert who provided valuable collaborative support.
  • **makacha**: Provides a super helpful **Modding Guide** and helps us troubleshoot bugs.
  • **hypermorphic**: Created the Forger patch manager, Alexios custom mods, and shared tons of useful information files. Without his huge contribution, this mod would not have been possible.
  • **theawesomecoder61**: Created the **Blacksmith** tool, which greatly helps with locating and extracting .dds files.

**Enjoy creating a new look for Cassandra! ** 🎨

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
