GG-AU / Goated Geese is a social community, mainly on Discord. We're open to anyone who wants to chat, play games, and join in events.

Version

Pack version: 2.1.1. This is the V2 player edition of GG_AU_Valheim_Modpack; V1 remains archived in the source repository.

Installation

• Install Mod Manager or r2modman and select Valheim.
• Create a fresh profile for the V2 server. An existing V1 profile can retain old mods and configs after a pack update.
• Install GG_AU_Valheim_Modpack version 2.1.1. Your mod manager installs its dependencies automatically.
• Start the game using the manager's modded launch option, then join the matching GG-AU server.

This release supplies dependencies and package metadata. It does not bundle server-specific configs; mods generate their defaults on first launch. Follow the community's server setup instructions for any required configuration. Mod managers may resolve newer dependency versions, so compare the installed profile with the server before joining.

ServerSideMap, ValheimWebMap, Server devcommands, and ServerInfo are excluded from this player pack. If you previously installed 2.0.0, create a fresh profile or remove these four packages from your existing profile; updating the pack may leave previously installed dependencies behind.

Server setup

Build and test the server's mod profile separately, following each mod author's client/server installation requirements. Match gameplay and content mods between server and clients, then configure player limits, admin permissions, ServerInfo, and map services for the actual server. Installing this pack alone does not configure those services.

Notes on the new additions

• BetterNetworking: compression works between machines running this mod; install it on the server as well to use compression on that connection. Restart the server after installing or changing its settings.
• AAA Crafting: included as requested, but marks this package as deprecated. Its compatibility with the current server build needs an in-game test.
• EquipmentAndQuickSlots: supports client-side installation. Avoid adding competing inventory-slot mods such as AzuExtendedPlayerInventory, ExtendedPlayerInventory, ExtraSlots, or ComfyQuickSlots to this profile; the author declares them incompatible.
