Drakkar Lantern — a wisp lantern at the bow of the drakkar

Languages: the mod shows no text of its own, so it works the same in every language. Its settings are described in English and in French.

Every drakkar now sails with a lantern hanging from its dragon prow. It glows blue like a wisp torch and clears the

Mistlands mist around the ship.

Features

• On every drakkar, and only there: nothing to build. The longship, the karve and the raft are unchanged.
• The Dvergr wall lantern, with blue glass: its iron arm and brace come out of the dragon's neck, between the two spikes under its head, and the lantern hangs from its chain. The wall plate is left out.
• Wisp torch light: the same blue light, glow and sparkles as the wisp torch.
• Clears the mist like a wisp torch, further: 32 m around the lantern (a wisp torch clears 24 m; MistRadius setting). It moves with the ship, so it keeps pushing the mist away, like the wisplight that follows you. Inside that area, the mist no longer blocks sight, for you or for the creatures, as around a wisp torch.
• Swings with the ship: waves, turns, sudden stops and a little wind. It never swings back into the dragon's neck.
• Already there while you place the drakkar with the hammer, and drawn on the drakkar's icon in the build menu.
• Disappears with the ship in the distance.
• Client side: only players with the mod see the lantern. Nothing to install on the server, and nothing is added to the world or sent over the network.

Installation

• With a mod manager (r2modman, Mod Manager): click Install. BepInExPack Valheim is installed with it.
• By hand: install BepInExPack Valheim, then put DrakkarLantern.dll in Valheim/BepInEx/plugins.

Tested with Valheim 1.0.17 and BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2350.

Chaque drakkar navigue désormais avec une lanterne suspendue à sa proue en dragon. Elle brille du bleu des torches à

lucioles et dissipe la brume des Terres brumeuses autour du bateau.

• Sur chaque drakkar, et sur lui seul: rien à construire. Le drakkar classique, le karve et le radeau ne changent pas.
• La lanterne murale dvergr, aux vitres bleues: son bras en fer et sa jambe de force sortent du cou du dragon, entre les deux pointes sous sa tête, et la lanterne pend au bout de sa chaîne. La plaque murale est retirée.
• La lumière de la torche à lucioles: même lumière bleue, même halo, mêmes étincelles.
• Dissipe la brume comme une torche à lucioles, et plus loin: 32 m autour de la lanterne (24 m pour une torche; réglage MistRadius). Elle avance avec le bateau et repousse donc la brume en continu, comme la luciole qui suit le joueur. Dans cette zone, la brume ne bloque plus la vue, ni la vôtre ni celle des créatures, comme autour d'une torche à lucioles.
• Balance avec le bateau: vagues, virages, arrêts brusques et un peu de vent. Elle ne cogne jamais le cou du dragon.
• Déjà là quand on place le drakkar au marteau, et dessinée sur l'icône du drakkar dans le menu de construction.
• Disparaît au loin en même temps que le bateau.
• Côté joueur: seuls les joueurs qui ont le mod voient la lanterne. Rien à installer sur le serveur, rien n'est ajouté au monde ni envoyé sur le réseau.
