Achievement Enabler+ combines achievement eligibility, item sanitization, and character cheat cleanup for Valheim.

Features

• Achievements with mods: allows the game's achievement eligibility checks to pass with mods installed, previous character cheats, cheated items, or world modifiers present.
• Clean item tags: removes cheat flags as items are loaded, picked up, dropped, added to inventories, moved between containers, transferred to tombstones, and saved.
• Clean character flags: clears the permanent character cheat flag and resets the cheat-use counter across all ten player-stat categories.
• Ongoing cleanup: runs on profile load/save, after console commands, and periodically while playing.
• Progress recovery: reruns six built-in progress checks at roughly 15, 30, and 45 seconds after entering a local-player session. Previously recorded progress may unlock missed achievements.

Item stacks, quality, durability, custom item data, and unrelated character progress are preserved.

Installation

Mod Manager

• Select your Valheim profile.
• Disable or uninstall the old Achievement Eligibility and separate Valheim Item Sanitizer mods, if installed.
• Install Achievement Enabler Plus and its BepInEx dependency.
• Launch the game using Start modded.

For an unpublished ZIP, use your manager's local-mod import option and ensure BepInExPack Valheim is installed in that profile.

Manual installation

• Install BepInExPack Valheim.
• Close Valheim and remove old copies of AchievementEligibility.dll and ValheimItemSanitizer.dll from BepInEx/plugins.
• Copy this package's plugins/AchievementEnablerPlus folder into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins.
• Launch Valheim with BepInEx enabled.

Keep only one copy of AchievementEnablerPlus.dll. This release retains the old plugin identifier for upgrade continuity; the old and new achievement DLLs should not be installed together.

Using the mod

No configuration is required. Install it in the game client you play from.

Enter your character and world, allow about 45 seconds for recovery checks, then save and log out normally. Character and item cleanup persists through normal saves. Other characters are cleaned when loaded, and stored items are cleaned as their inventories load or pass through the supported transfer/save hooks.

Back up saves first if you want to be able to restore the original flags and counters. Removing the mod does not restore flags that were already cleared and saved.

To confirm startup, look for this message in BepInEx/LogOutput.log:

What to expect

• Achievement conditions still need to be fulfilled, and the platform achievement service must be available. Steam achievement delivery is not guaranteed by this mod.
• Recovery uses progress already recorded by Valheim. Missing progress may require repeating the relevant gameplay action.
• Difficulty-specific achievement requirements remain in place.
• World modifier settings remain unchanged; their achievement eligibility restrictions are bypassed while the plugin is active.
• The mod clears item/character cheat flags and cheat-use counters. It does not undo command effects, erase command-use history, alter archived backups, or rewrite unopened saves.
• Other mods' private metadata is preserved. Multiplayer and compatibility with every other mod have not been verified.

Compatibility and validation

Built against the Valheim assemblies installed on September 11, 2026, using BepInEx 5 and Harmony. Version 2.0.1 changes the name and packaging; it preserves the 2.0.0 cleanup behavior.

The 2.0.0 cleanup and game-signature checks passed 82 checks. The renamed 2.0.1 DLL builds with zero warnings or errors. In-game patch installation, save/reload behavior, and Steam achievement delivery still need an in-game smoke test.
