Introduction

As you know, vanilla skill books increase skill level by 1. This causes several problems:

Players find it more advantageous to leave these books at later levels to use skill books to raise the level when it becomes difficult.

Players find it unprofitable to read books with skills that do not correspond to their specialization (alteration for a warrior), as their level will rise while their combat power does not increase.

From reading skill books, the player have increase for level of skill that they do not use. Thus, a warrior can up destruction to lvl.5 without knowing a single spell, and this is unimmersive.

Because of this, there are a lot of mods that allow you to use this system more efficiently, namely mods that display the skill of the book, and mods that allow you to take the book without reading them.

But there's almost no mods trying to fix the problem. So here's another.

Books no longer increase the skill level and, moreover, have no effect on the growth of skills. Instead, you'll get perk points. Giving a perk point for each book would be too unbalanced, so one perk will be given for every 10 books. The optional plugin will reduce this number to 5. Yes, skill books aren't linked to specific skills anymore.

I'm too lazy to make a version for Book Covers, sorry. I'll be glad if someone does it for me. You can put my mod after it, but the skill books will be with vanilla texture.

This mod is implemented quite simply, so it changes every skill book. Oon this basis:
