A hero's gear can take on a legend of its own. Build it.

What Does This Mod Do?

Simply put, Signature Equipment enables your weapons and armor to scale through achievement. Single-handedly slaughter the entire Stormcloak army with a butter knife? That butter knife now has the stats and value to prove it. Wear the same pair of dragon-slaying boots for good luck? You guessed it.

In practice, the more you use the same equipment, the more potent and valuable that equipment becomes. It's a lot like tempering, but you do it by cleaving through your enemies gradually. This allows for a favorite early game weapon to become a signature weapon that scales with your character. Maybe your character might intentionally build up the reputation of a weapon to sell it for a profit. Or maybe you like the way a weapon looks, but its damage just can't keep up. That's no longer an issue with this mod!

How Do I Use This Mod?

All you have to do to use this mod is install it. There is a spell that toggles the mod and a configuration menu to tweak the rate of progression and set caps, but beyond that this mod is plug and play. You might be aware of a previous mod I released that implemented this same concept but required you to drop your items. That is a problem no longer.

Items progress as you kill enemies. The stronger the enemy, the more your items progress. You gain multipliers up to a max of 4 depending on how many times higher the enemy's level was than yours.

Configure the progression rate, damage bonus cap, and armor bonus cap to your liking in the MCM. The MCM also provides some reference on how quickly your arms and armor will improve, so take a look at it if you'd like to decide if the base progression rate is to your liking.

Beyond that, just play the game and enjoy as your items progress (cleanly this time).

Installation and Compatibility

If you use A Legend's Weapons and Vestments, uninstall it first. This mod replaces it.

This mod requires SKSE and SkyUI for optimal use. Make sure you have those installed first. Otherwise, installation is standard.

All weapons and armor, clothing, and jewelry is affected, even modded items. The only items that may not be affected are those that use uncommon equip slots.
