Skyrim store the amount of gold a vendor has as a signed 16-bit integer. This means the maximum amount of gold a vendor can have is 2^15 - 1 or 32767. Any amount of greater than 32767, the game will display the vendor's gold amount correctly, but it can no longer correct process sell transactions for the vendor. When you sell an item to a vendor with more than 32767 gold, your item is transferred to the vendor, but you will not get any gold for it.
This mod periodically checks a vendor's gold amount when the barter menu is open. When it detects a gold amount greater than 32767, it automatically sets the vendor's gold back to 32767, preventing the vendor from breaking. It will also reopen the barter menu so the updated gold amount is displayed correctly.
