I prefer my Skyrim experience to lean towards realism so I made some patches to tweak the amazing mod Bandolier - Bags and Pouches Classic.

Orignal stats --- The original fortify carry weight effects were as follows 25, 50, 75, 100.

--- The original armour value was 0 for all items and some bags were worth as much as 500 Septims.

Reduced Bandolier Carry Weight -60% --- 10, 20, 30, 40.

Reduced Bandolier Carry Weight -80% --- 5, 10, 15, 20.

Reduced Bandolier Carry Weight More Realistic --- 5, 15, 30, 40.

This second patch was for balance and convenience. Bags should provide some level of defence and also not be worth a fortune. I would hazard a guess at leather being one of the most abundant materials in Skyrim, along with bags as plenty of people would carry their possessions.

You can now search for bags via the tanning rack based on armour value which makes finding them easier if you have additional crafting options from other mods.

Reduced Value and Armoured Bandoliers --- Bandoliers provide 8 defence and are worth 30 Septims. (Similar defence to a leather bracer)

--- Bags and Pouches provide 4 defence and are worth 15 Septims.

Installation --- Install Bandolier - Bags and Pouches Classic then load my patches after.

Other Mods to overhaul the carry weight mechanic ---

Carry Weight Modifier --- I use the -200 option.

Convenient Horses --- Adds horse storage.

Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks SE --- For more followers to carry your burdens.

Lore Friendly Spells --- Adds feather spells for increased carry weight (from TES IV).

CREDITS --- Dragten - Bandolier - Bags and Pouches Classic.  God Howard and the Bugthesda team for creating an amazing base game platform to mod.
