I've taken up my old sword and shield to adventure through Skyrim once more, but I found it tedious having to repeatedly put them back down to take out my torch so I could actually see, only for another spider to immediately reappear and force me to put down my torch and reequip my sword and shield for a 2 second battle. It was an endless struggle.

This mod adds two new enchantments called: "Radiance" and "Infinite Magelight". Radiance adds a constant dim light around your character and Magelight, as you would expect, adds a permanent Candlelight that persists until you unequip the item. I've toned down the brightness of the Candlelight effect from the enchantment so it doesn't blind you in brightly lit areas, but both can still become annoying while traversing snowy areas during a bright and sunny day so I recommend not applying the enchantment to equipment you wear constantly.

The aura is not quite as bright as a torch, just enough to be useful in dungeons and not be very noticeable during the day. You can also, of course, add multiple instances of the enchantment for a stronger effect, but I don't know how good this would look.

To learn the two enchantment, venture to the Statue of Meridia. There, you will find an Unusual Chest at it's base which contains two necklaces, each with one of the enchantments. You can either simply use the necklace or you can disenchant them and apply the enchantments to any shield or jewelry you'd like.

Like all the mods I make, it is extremely light weight and does not add any meshes or scripts.
