Mod Overview

A mod where every hat in the game gives you unique buffs!

This is the first mod I've ever published, so expect bugs.

Some hats are passives, aka buffs that are constantly applied (faster sprinting speed, stronger throwing strength, etc.). Others are special hats with abilities that can be activated with the 'Z' key. Every special hat has a cooldown and (sometimes) sfx, too!

The only hats that do not have buffs right now are:

• Aggro-Crab Hat
• Gnome Hat
• Bandana

I will be updating this mod in the coming days to add these hats into the game.

Hat Buffs

Fedora

Desc: Become immune to the Cold status, but you're hungrier and slower.

Inspiration: Discord-mod stereotype lol

Propeller Hat

Desc: Fall at a slower rate.

Straw Hat

Desc: Heat status caps out at 40%.

Aviator Hat

Desc: Take much less cold status and deal with less drag.

Sailor's Hat

Desc: Move faster in water, plus frogs won't yoink you.

Medic Helmet

Desc: Press Z to heal yourself for 35% of your injury status.

Cooldown: Lengthy.

Midsummer

Desc: Become more nimble on vines, and know every shroomberries' effect.

Mushroom Hat

Desc: Crouch and then jump (like a pal-jump) to jump higher, and know every shroomberries' effect.

Courier (Speedrun) Hat

Desc: Move faster at the cost of greater stamina usage.

Scoutmaster's Hat

Desc: Press Z to gain 30% extra stamina.

Cooldown: Average.

Naruto Headband

Desc: Sprint much faster and have an easier time walking up slopes without climbing.

Chef's Hat

Desc: Press Z to cook any item in your hands.

Cooldown: Average.

Wizard Hat

Desc: Press Z to turn any item into a potion with good/bad effects. Mythical items (items from ancient luggage/ campfire scout statues) always make good potions.

Cooldown: Short.

Wolf Ears

Desc: Move/ climb faster when nobody is nearby.

Crown

Desc: Press Z to become invincible for ~5 seconds.

Cooldown: Lengthy.

Inspiration: The protection loyalty has/gets.

Goat Horns

Desc: Press Z while on the ground to dash forward. 2 Charges.

Cooldown: Short.

Inspiration: Ramming goats.

Sunhat and Texas (Desert) Hat

Desc: Heat doesn't cap as high as the sunhat, however the amount of heat status taken is halved.

Visor

Desc: Heat gets capped at 50% and you throw items farther.

Inspiration: The achievement for this hat.

Cowboy Hat

Desc: Shoot rope-cannons and chain-launchers farther, and climb ropes much faster.

Snow Jacket Hoods

Desc: Take no cold status, but much more heat status.

Bing-Bong Beanie

Desc: When holding Bing-Bong, all stats decrease very slowly.

Racing Helmet

Desc: Press Z repeatedly to charge up a speed boost. Be careful, though, every charge increases the drowsy status you get after the speed-boost.

Cooldown: Average.

Astronaut Helmet

Desc: Press Z to attach a balloon to yourself. 3 Charges.

Cooldown: Lengthy.

Jack-o-Lantern

Desc: No mobs will target you.

Inspiration: Minecraft's jack-o-lantern.

Mummy Wraps

Desc: Press Z while unconscious to revive yourself at the cost of 50% curse. However, curse will start to go away after 1 minute.

Cooldown: Incredibly Long.

Antlers

Desc: Walk slower but sprint faster. Also take less damage.

Inspiration: Moose.

Plague Doctor Mask

Desc: Press Z while looking at somebody to steal stamina from them in form of a vial.

Cooldown: Average.

Climbing Hat

Desc: Climb faster and don't slide as much.

Soda Hat

Desc: Press Z to drink an energy drink. 2 Charges.

Cooldown: Lengthy.

Flower

Desc: Press Z to glide with the Scout's Initiative ability.

Cooldown: Somewhat Short.

Sprout

Desc: Press Z to give yourself a magic bean.

Cooldown: Average.

Weird-looking "Flapper" Hat

Desc: Poison and Spore stats go away much faster.

Jester Hat

Desc: Press Z to gamble your stamina bar.

Cooldown: Incredibly Short.

Inspiration: Jesters/clowns always remind me of rng in games.

Nap-Cap

Desc: Always afflicted with 15% of the drowsy status, however that percentage will not go up nor down.

Fake Arrow

Desc: A real arrow that you are constantly afflicted with, making you bleed constantly.
