LethalVocabulary

This mod uses speech recognition to punish players who talk about an entity that is randomly selected at the start of each moon.

Punishments

• Random - Mentioning a banned category will trigger a random punishment.
• Inverse Teleport - Mentioning a banned category will cause you to take moderate damage, drop all your items, and be teleported to a random location in the facility.
• Landmine Explosion - Mentioning a banned category will cause an explosion to occur at your position after a short delay. Better run!
• The explosion will only affect the player who mentioned the banned category
• Stun Grenade Flash - Mentioning a banned category will cause a stun grenade flash and mild damage to occur.
• Flash effect is only visible to the player who mentioned the banned category
• Forced Apology - Mentioning a banned category will require the player to type a selected apology in chat. Failing to do so within 10 seconds will cause them to explode.
• The explosion will only affect the player who mentioned the banned category.
• Snare Flea Suffocation - Mentioning a banned category will cause a Snare Flea to spawn on the player's head, dealing moderate damage before dying.
• This punishment only triggers while inside the facility. If this punishment is selected and the player is outside the facility, a random punishment will be selected instead.

Features & Config

The host's config settings will be used by all players in the lobby, including their words and custom categories.

Some settings can be changed while in orbit via the terminal command vocabulary.

The following options can be changed:

• The number of Shared Categories and Private Categories that are randomly selected at the start of each moon
• Shared Categories are the same for all players
• Private Categories are different for every player
• Whether or not to display the Shared and/or Private categories each moon
• Whether or not to punish players who use curse words during moons
• Trigger words for each category

Important Notes

• This mod is still a work in progress!
• This mod must be installed by all players (especially the host.)
• This mod has only been tested on Windows and is likely incompatible with other operating systems.
• This mod uses your system's default microphone, NOT your in-game mic.
• If you want to improve the accuracy of the speech recognition, follow some of the troubleshooting tips provided by VoiceRecognitionAPI as well as this Microsoft article
• If you encounter a bug or issue, feel free to contact me on the Lethal Company Modding Discord by creating a forum post in #support, describing your issue, and tagging me (@haminpants)
• This mod no longer uses SpeechRecognitionAPI's speech recognition method. It is normal to get a warning saying no phrases have been loaded.
• If an update breaks the mod and you want to continue playing, try deleting and regenerating the config file. If that still does not work, downgrade to the previous version and delete and regenerate the config file.

Tips

• Typing "remind me" in chat or saying "forgot word" or "what's word" will display the tip containing the banned categories
