HUD Control
Adjust the How to Fish HUD while you play. Press F1 to open a compact settings window and preview changes immediately.
Features
- HUD scale: shrink the default HUD from 100% to 50%.
- Hide HUD: toggle the base HUD off and on with a checkbox.
- HUD opacity: adjust transparency from 0% to 100%.
- Reset defaults: restore the normal size, full opacity, and visible HUD.
- Automatic saving: your preferences carry over to the next session.
The settings window remains accessible even when the HUD is hidden or completely transparent.

Opening the panel releases the mouse cursor and blocks local gameplay and camera input while you adjust the controls. It does not pause a multiplayer session.
Installation
Install Mod Manager or r2modman. The required BepInExPack dependency will be installed automatically. Launch the game with mods enabled, load into a game, and press F1.
For manual installation, install BepInExPack first, then place HudControl.dll in BepInEx/plugins/HudControl.
Restart the game after installing, enabling, or disabling the mod.
What it controls
HUD Control targets the base game's main HUD, HUD effects, and boss display. It respects the game's own HUD visibility changes during pause and other screens. Independent overlay canvases supplied by other mods are outside its scope.
This is a standalone mod and does not require Better How to Fish.
Configuration
Settings are saved automatically to:

If F1 does not open the panel, check that the mod is enabled and that the game was launched through your mod manager. The BepInEx log should include HUD Control loaded.
Compatibility
Built for the Unity Mono version of How to Fish with BepInEx 5. Other mods that change the same base HUD groups or use F1 may conflict. Game updates that change the HUD or input code may require a mod update.
